Top executives of a Canadian pharmaceutical company wanted to double the size of their plant in Puerto Rico in 8 months. The plant layout had to be upgraded to meet US FDA standards.
First we developed the pharmaceutical layout and criteria for the designers. Crawford then selected and hired a local pharmaceutical architectural/engineering firm to begin design immediately. We hired a Canadian construction manager who had extensive experience in Puerto Rico. As soon as the project was designed, the work was bid out and the construction work started.
The construction work integrated the existing operation into the new building without any manufacturing down time. The work was completed in 6 months and included some significant client changes. The new plant extension was used immediately to meet the client’s production schedules.
